Show me a single drop of blood under a microscope, and I'll tell you the story of your body. I have spent my whole life focused on two areas – my passion for science and my love for my family, with a special mention of my beautiful grandchildren. They all call me the “Martha Stewart of diagnostic testing.” I want families from all walks of life to have the same access to science that my family has – to have cutting-edge diagnostic technology literally at their fingertips, and to use that information for healthier, longer, happier lives. It's my way of trying to improve the human condition. With KNOW, I am just getting started.

I am a colon cancer survivor. Because I was able to identify blood in my own urine, I received treatment in time and gave myself a chance at survival. I want everyone to have that chance. I look at every blood sample I analyze in the lab as my own–it’s that crucial. In the same way, we approach every KNOW sample like it belongs to a member of our family. The science of testing is my life – I’ve forgotten more about diagnostic testing and reading urine samples than you might think it’s possible to learn.
