Your heart isn’t just a pump—it’s your powerhouse. Listen to its whispers now, so you don’t have to hear its cries later.

This Heart Health Test (Lipid Panel) helps detect:

  • Hyperlipidemia: High levels of lipids (fats and cholesterol) in the blood, which can lead to plaque buildup in the arteries, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Often, this condition has no noticeable symptoms until a significant blockage or heart event occurs.
  • Hypolipidemia: Low levels of lipids in the blood, which, while less common, can impact nerve function and increase susceptibility to infections.

Life is short, let’s extend it !

Fasting Recommendation:
Fasting for at least 8 hours before sample collection is recommended for accurate lipid panel results.

What Is Measured

This test determines the amount of different types of lipids, including total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol,very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, andtriglycerides. Lipids play a pivotal role in the functioning of the body. They are crucial components of the cell membranes and hormones, provide cushioning, and are a storehouse of energy. Any alterations in the lipid levels may lead to potential heart ailments, making their monitoring crucial.

Related Symptoms

If you have risk factors for heart disease, like weight gain, increased body fat, elevated cholesterol, or a personal or family history of heart disease, it’s a good idea to check on your cholesterol and lipids regularly.

Symptoms of poor heart health can vary, but common signs include:

Chest Pain or Discomfort: Often described as pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain in the chest. This is a classic symptom of a heart attack or angina.

Shortness of Breath: Feeling breathless during rest or with minimal physical activity could indicate heart problems, especially if it occurs suddenly or is severe.

Fatigue: Unusual or extreme tiredness can be a sign of heart failure, as the heart is not pumping efficiently.

Swelling (Edema): Swelling in the legs, ankles, feet, or abdomen can indicate heart failure due to fluid buildup.

Palpitations: Feeling like your heart is racing, pounding, or fluttering can be a sign of arrhythmias or other heart conditions.

Dizziness or Lightheadedness: Feeling faint or dizzy, particularly when standing up quickly, can be related to heart issues like arrhythmias or low blood pressure.

Nausea or Indigestion: These symptoms, especially when combined with chest pain, can be indicative of a heart attack, particularly in women.

Pain in Other Areas: Pain that radiates to the shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, or back can be a sign of a heart attack.

Cold Sweats: Breaking out in a cold sweat for no obvious reason can be a sign of a heart attack.

Persistent Cough or Wheezing: These can be signs of fluid buildup in the lungs due to heart failure.

If you experience any of these symptoms, especially in combination or with sudden onset, it is important to seek medical attention immediately.
