What Is Measured

A1c Test

Hemoglobin A1c, is a blood test that provides information about a person's average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months. It measures the percentage of hemoglobin (a protein in red blood cells) that is coated with sugar (glycated). This test is primarily used to monitor and screen for diabetes and assess how well diabetes management plans are working over time.  A higher A1c level indicates poorer blood sugar control, which may increase the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Cholesterol Test

Cholesterol testing helps assess your risk of developing cardiovascular diseases possibly leading to heart attack and stroke.

Triglyceride Test

A primary form of fat in your blood that can also increase the risk of heart disease if levels are too high. It can also lead to damage to organs such as liver and pancreas. It's usually done after fasting for at least 12 hours to provide accurate results.

HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) Test

It's known as "good" cholesterol because it helps remove LDL cholesterol from the arteries, lowering the risk of heart disease.

Calculated LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) Test

Often called "bad" cholesterol where high levels can increase the risk of heart disease. It can also lead to damage to organs such as liver and pancreas.

TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone) Test

TSH is the most sensitive marker of thyroid health. It’s released from the pituitary gland in the brain and acts on the thyroid gland and its hormones, Free Triiodothyronine (FT3) and Free Thyroxine (FT4). Thyroid hormones are closely tied to metabolic processes, body temperature regulation and nervous system development.

Vitamin D Test

Vitamin D, often referred to as the "sunshine vitamin," is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in several important functions within the body:

  • Bone Health
  •  Immune System Support
  •  Muscle Function
  •  Cell Growth and Differentiation
  •  Mood Regulation

 Estradiol Test

Estradiol is a type of estrogen hormone and is the most potent naturally occurring estrogen in humans. It plays several important roles in both male and female bodies:

  •  Female Reproductive System
  •  Bone Health
  •  Mood and Behavior
  •  Cardiovascular Health
  •  Male Reproductive System
